ANSE – message from NASR

Dear ANSE Delegates,

Dear Presidents of National Organisation in ANSE,

In the last few days, individuals and associations within ANSE community and beyond have organised a lot of help for our Ukrainian colleagues. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this.

In the last few days there have also been a number of irritations regarding communication and mails. Although we find ourselves in an absolutely exceptional situation, we should try to approach the matter with as clear a mind as possible. We, the ANSE board, feel obliged to maintain transparency within the community and to make sure that all organisations act according to the statutes of ANSE (https://anse.eu/about-anse/statutes).

Therefore, ANSE board has sent a request to the Russian National Associations of Supervisors (NAS) for a clear position on the current war that Russia has started with Ukraine on 24th of February.

Yesterday (06.03.2022) we received the message, which we share with you now:

‘The National Association of Supervisors of Russia (NASR) addresses the board and colleagues of the ANSE association and all of its national member organizations. We, the undersigned, have all been involved in joint professional projects between Russia and Ukraine in recent years. We learned from each other, exchanged experiences, and made common plans. We helped and supported each other reciprocally in difficult life situations for many years. Everything happening now is very bitter and painful for each of us, personally and professionally.

We consider ourselves professionals in the helping professions. And as specialists in helping professions, we are politically independent since anyone can turn to us for help. We deeply sympathize and empathize with everyone who finds themselves in the epicenter of hostilities. As before, we are ready to provide professional assistance to those in need, regardless of their nationality, state affiliation, political or religious views.

We hope you understand that the National Association of Supervisors and its members cannot be responsible for the political environment or decisions taken to resolve conflicts in any state or community. We are willing and ready to provide professional assistance to those who find themselves in a difficult life situation. That’s why we want to continue the professional dialogue with our colleagues and contribute to improving the current situation.

We appeal to all ANSE members to help us find a common language in this catastrophic situation, to help reduce aggression in the world community and nationalistic enmity between people from different countries. We are working for a united world!!!

With respect,

On behalf of the Members of the Board of the National Association of Supervisors (Russia),

Viktor Menovshchikov, Chairman of the Board.’

We as ANSE board would appreciate your opinion how to go on with this situation within our community.

With best regards,

ANSE board
