Dear presidents, ANSE delegates, quality experts,
We are pleased to provide you with an update regarding the 8th “Quality Talk” meeting held on April 25th.
The goal of this “Quality talks” meeting was to consider the necessity of updating ANSE Code of Ethics and clarify the needs of National organizations to exchange on topic of ethics.
Sijtze de Ross, one of the creators of the ANSE Code of Ethics shared his memories and ideas of creating the code. We recorded his presentation – press here to watch it. Additionally, a written text is available for your reference – press here to read it.
During subsequent discussions, the following topics and themes for exchange were raised:
- – Education: How can we raise awareness among members of National Organizations (NOs) about ethical issues? How might a Code of Ethics assist in addressing ethical dilemmas?
- – Exchange of expertise and procedures between members of Ethics Committees and ombudsmen: How should complaints and conflicts related to differing approaches or behaviors on ethics within the NOs be addressed?
- – Establishment of a platform for NOs to exchange ideas on topics related to ethics and the compilation of best practices among ANSE members.
The ANSE board intends to continue discussing the relevance of this topic for National organizations during the upcoming meeting of presidents and delegates scheduled for October 19th, 2024, in Paris.
